George Evans Obit. says that they lived in New York from 1850 to 1860. Moved to Michigan, Oakland County. In 1868 moved to Chapin townhip

Henry Evans purcased 120 acres around Fenmore circa 1869. Property owned by Rudolph Hoshield in May 1932. Large fire around 1871 burned much of Henry's homestead, but no real damage was done. One of the first schools in Fenmore was located in Henry's chicken coop. He was elected director. Newspaper 3
